Ask NEO a licensing question

Use NEO chat when you want a licensing answer in the product: a vendor rule, a metric, or how a product is licensed. It is for IT, procurement and compliance people who need a rule without reading the whole contract first.

Check the answer against your own agreement before you act on it.

Click NEO at the top of the left nav.

• History lists past conversations, grouped by date, with a Search box. Click a title to open it again.
• New Chat starts a conversation.
• The empty state says Where understanding licensing begins.
• The box says Type here your question… Send it with the arrow.

Name the vendor, the product, the version or edition, how it is deployed, and the license model. For example: how to license SQL Server 2022 Standard on a VMware host with four virtual machines.

The chat controls are History, Search, New Chat and the question box.
