How to setup an account, and process sample data

To get started trialling Licenseware, register an account using the following link, however make sure to tick the "load sample" data option:

Once registered you will receive a verification email, verify your email address and then login:

At this point if you ticked load sample data, the data will begin processing under the report section and a number of reports will start to generate:

Specifically the Microsoft, Java and infrastructure reports.

If you did not tick the option to load sample data at registration or they didn't become available, head to the projects section, select add new project, then tick "load sample data for my account":

The mentioned reports will begin to process and become available shortly - make sure to be in the correct project.

Download sample data to upload + Oracle Database reports

Create a New Project as described above however DO NOT load sample data.

For trialling the experience of processing raw data via drag and drop, and to get access to the Oracle Database reports, please first download this sample data here.

Unzipping the file you will see 2 main folders.

ODBM Folder

30 csv's from anonymised Review Lite script data, to upload first head to apps and then ODBM:

Select Review Lite:

Then either drag and drop the 30 csvs on (or the parent ODBM folder), or select upload and then the files.

Once the files are approved click process.

IFMP Folder

This folder contains 10 txt files output from the Review Lite script contained within a subfolder called Oracle_CPU_Queries AND it contains 1 RVTool Output file.

To process the CPU Queries, again head to apps, and this time IFMP:

Select the Oracle CPU Queries uploader, and upload the txt files as before, then click process:

Now select RVTools, and upload the RVTool output file as before and click process.

Once processed you will have both the Oracle Database Usage report and the Consolidated report accessible.

This upload procedure is the same for all our analysis applications, please follow the relevant data source guides to use them.

Please note trials have limited visibility of the results.
