Software Inventory
Article explaining the software inventory report from the Software Inventory Manager App
The Software Inventory report gives you a complete view of the software installed across your organisation, built from your data in the Software Inventory Manager (SIM). It helps IT and procurement teams track applications, spot risk and find cost savings.
Open it from Reports, on the Reports tab, by clicking the Software Inventory card. Compare and the Live (read only) menu at the top let you save snapshots and compare them, and Download saves the whole report.

Tables
Below the charts, the report has four tables. Each one can be filtered, downloaded, expanded or configured from the icons at its top right, and Rows per page sets how many rows show at once.
Lifecycle Risk
Software that is out of support, or soon will be, so you can plan upgrades and replacements.

Each row shows the Vendor, Product and Version, its Risk Level, its Status (such as End of Life, Discontinued or Extended Support Ending), its Release Date, Support End and Extended Support End, how many Installs it has, the Action Required and any Notes.
Vendor Diversity
How many different vendors and products you use for the same kind of software. Use it to find categories where you could consolidate onto fewer tools.

Each row is a software Subcategory, such as Database Software or Browsers, with its Number of Installs, Number of Vendors and Number of Products, the Vendors and Products themselves, and Notes, such as Multiple products from different vendors or Single vendor in use.
Licensable Products
The products in your inventory that need a paid license, with how they are licensed and priced.

Each row shows the Vendor and Product, its Editions and Versions, Category, Subcategory and Type, a Product Description, its Pricing, License Type, licensing Metric (such as per device, per user or Per Core + CAL) and Price Info.
Software Inventory
Every product found in your environment, with how widely it is installed.

Each row shows the Vendor and Product, its Editions and Versions, Category, Subcategory and Type, a Product Description, its Pricing and License Type, and how many Installs and Devices it has.
Download a table
Click the download icon at the top right of a table to save it. While the file is being built, the table shows Preparing download. If you’ve filtered the table, the filter icon shows how many filters are active, and Clear filters removes them.

The downloaded Software Inventory table is more detailed than the one on screen: it has one row for each device a product is installed on, rather than one row per product.
