RDM Data Requirements
Detail on the minimum required data points for Red Hat analysis
The following data points are required at a minimum for a full Microsoft analysis:
device_name - Device name of the linux host
software_publisher - Software developer/publisher
software_name - Software installed, including version / edition
os - Operating system caption from the Device
number_of_sockets - Total number of physical sockets in the system
number_of_processors - Total number of processors in the system
number_of_cores - Total number of cores in the system
device_type - Physical or Virtual
virtualization_type - Virtualization technology used
Host name - if virtual, the name of the host machine
Cluster name - if in a cluster, the name of the cluster
NOTE: The Red Hat subscription status is not a mandatory data point; the analysis can proceed without it. However, the backdating calculations can't be computed without the subscription status.
