Virtualisation and Hardware

Multiple applications such as MDM, ODBM, OJDM and more can utilize data via the Infrastructure Mapper (IFMP) for virtual relationship and hardware information.

By utilizing the Infrastructure Mapper app, all relevant hardware and virtualisation details will be synchronised to the relevant apps that require this information for full analysis, below are a list of applications that use this data from IFMP:

  • Microsoft Deployment Manager (for proper calculation of licensing requirements for Windows Server and SQL Server)
  • Oracle Database Manager (for proper calculations of licensing requirements for all products)
  • Oracle Middleware Manager (for proper calculations of licensing requirements for all products)
  • Oracle Java Deployment Manager (for proper calculations of licensing requirements for legacy processor licensing metric)
  • Red Hat Deployment Manager (for proper calculations of licensing requirements for all VDC and instance based licensing)
