      How to get and use MAP Toolkit data for Microsoft Deployment Manager

      This document explains how to extract data from Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit (MAP Toolkit) and upload it into Licenseware’s Microsoft Deployment Manager (MDM) app.

      MAP Toolkit has a SQL Server Express DB component that stores all the data collected by MAP Toolkit. To export the DB, you’ll need to follow these steps (in the MAP Toolkit menu):

      1. Select "File" -> "Manage Databases";
      2. Select the inventory database and click "Export."
      3. Archive the exported DB dump in a Zip ".zip" archive.
      4. Upload the archive via the MAP Toolkit uploader available in MDM or directly via Universal uploader.
