Sample data

You can try Licenseware without any data of your own. Load the built-in sample data to see the reports straight away, or upload a sample dataset yourself to try the whole upload-and-process flow.

1. Open the sign-up page for your region. See Create an account.
2. Tick Load sample data for my account.
3. Finish signing up and verify your email address.

Once you sign in, the sample data is processed automatically, and the reports appear under Reports shortly after, including Microsoft, Java and infrastructure (RVTools) reports.

If you skipped it when you signed up, create a project with sample data instead:

1. Open Projects from the sidebar and click Add project.
2. Enter a Project name.
3. Tick Load sample data for my account.
4. Click Add.

To try the full flow of uploading raw files and seeing them processed, for example for Oracle:

1. Ask Licenseware support for the anonymised sample dataset.
2. Create a new project without sample data. See Projects.
3. Open Datasources, click the data source each file belongs to, and drag the files into its upload area.
4. Check that each upload is processed in the source’s upload history, then open Reports.

Reports from sample data are only visible in the project the data was loaded into.
