TOPdesk

TOPdesk is an API integration. Connect it before you export a file.

Use an operator with API access, then REST API, set to Read, and Use application passwords set to Write. Log in as that operator. Open the user menu, then My settings, and add an application password. Copy it. It is shown once.

Username on Connect is that operator’s login name. TOPdesk documents the REST API at TOPdesk REST API. The password steps are on Generating an application password.

1. Open Datasources from the sidebar and click TOPdesk.
2. Click Connect. Documentation is at the top right of the source page.
3. Fill the required fields. Each one is marked with *.
   • Instance URL. The placeholder is https://yourcompany.topdesk.net.
   • Username
   • Application Password
4. Verify connection and Save credentials stay disabled until every required field is filled. Click Verify connection first, then Save credentials.

Export the asset list from TOPdesk as CSV, with device name, software name, version and publisher, and upload it to the SIM template.
