Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication asks for a code from an authenticator app in addition to your password.

Turn on two-factor authentication

Section titled “Turn on two-factor authentication”
  1. Open the profile menu at the bottom left of the sidebar, then Settings, and open the Account tab. Under Security Settings, where it says “Enter your password to access security settings.”, enter your current password in Password and click Unlock Security Settings. If you sign in through an identity provider such as Google, click Re-authenticate with it instead.
  2. On the same Account tab, once the security settings are unlocked, go to 2FA. Scan the Authenticator app QR code with an authenticator app, enter the code it shows in Verify code, and click Enable 2FA.
